Decoction™ ("we", "us", "our") is an application that helps users create, save, and explore personalised herbal tea blends. Decoction is a registered trademark. We are the data controller for information collected through this app.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following information when you use Decoction: • Account information: your name and email address, provided when you sign in via Google OAuth. • Blend data: the herbal blends you create and save, including ingredient selections and blend names. • Feedback data: any ratings or qualitative feedback you submit on your blends. • Usage data: general usage patterns to improve the app experience. We do not collect payment card details directly — donations are processed securely by Stripe.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to: • Provide and improve the Decoction service. • Save and display your personal blend collection. • Send you occasional product updates (only with your consent). • Process donations via Stripe. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.
4. Google OAuth
We use Google OAuth solely to authenticate your identity and obtain your email address and display name. We do not access your Google Drive, Gmail, Calendar, or any other Google services. The scopes we request are limited to basic profile information.
5. Data storage
Your data is stored securely on Base44 infrastructure. We retain your account data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via the Account Settings page.
6. Third-party services
We use the following third-party services: • Google OAuth — for authentication. • Stripe — for processing donations securely. • Base44 — our hosting and backend platform. Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle your data.
7. Your rights
Under applicable data protection law (including GDPR where relevant), you have the right to: • Access the personal data we hold about you. • Request correction of inaccurate data. • Request deletion of your data. • Object to or restrict certain processing.
